Looks like it is gonna be hard for any homes to close escrow for the next week or two. I say this because all lenders require hazard insurance and at the moment getting an hazard insurance in San Diego is not easy to say the least. This should ease up shortly but it would not surprise me to see some escrows crash because of this, or at the very least, some escrows push out because of this.
Not to mention delayed inspections, missed appointments, etc., as people deal with evacuations for themselves and their families. I would think that the fact that it is near the end of the month is especially unhelpful. Don’t lots of escrows close in the later part of the month?

mmmmm… escrow closings are pretty much based on when the offer was made. People writing the contracts don’t usually go out of thier way to schedule the close near the end of the month. However when escrows do close at the end of the month it is a chore because the lenders usually have alot of things going on at the end of the month. You are correct though about general delays… the insurance issue though is a big problem.
