“Partypup, you’re way too pessimistic for me. All I’ve witnessed you do since you came here is whine. Do you ever think positively?”
Marion, that comment only proves that you are so painfully unaware of the difference between pessimism and realism. But given the pedestrian quality of your posts to date, I suppose it is a distinction that I shouldn’t expect you to appreciate. And I doubt you ever studied macroeconomics, so it is not surprising that you should be so blissfully unaware of the approaching train wreck. So what if the Dow has dropped 600 points since Friday and oil is approaching $150/barrel? Such comments are waaaaay too “pessimistic” for Marion, so let’s not even discuss them. Better to move on to “happy” thoughts as the global financial system unravels!
And you think I “whine”? Then you need to re-read your own posts. You have done nothing but whine since you began offering your political “thoughts” on this board. Who hasn’t grown weary of hearing you whine about racism? About the burden of being black? You are the ultimate victim. Talk about the pot calling the kettle black (no pun intended).
And you are also apparently too obtuse to even catch the fact that Portlock was alluding to the thread that YOU started. Portlock thinks YOUR thread is pointless; no reference was made to my “pessimism”. YOU are the one who makes divisive posts, delivers epithets against one candidate (in YOUR own party, no less!) based on her sex, and fawns over the other candidate like a cheerleader at a pep rally. Yes, that’s very helpful for party unity, Marion.
It does not matter to me in the least what you think about my musings about the economy or politics. I’m rarely this rude on a board, but the level of ignorance you exhibit is simply astounding.
Next time, read before you post.

It was previously posted, but I could not find the thread.”Don’t waste your time, Aecetia. Marion is destined to be blind sided like a deer in headlights. And guarantee you she will be the first one “whining” about how someone should have warned her that things were this bad.
That’s what victims do.

June 12, 2008 at 1:49 AM #221611AnonymousGuestPartypup,
1) My believe my previous posts indicate, even state I know where we’re headed, a refresher course on “macroeconomics” not necessary. Check that.
2)I haven’t whined about the burden of being black.
3) The particular term I used to describe Hillary wasn’t based on her sex. Check that.
4) The fact that Hillary’s shares my party afiliation doesn’t guarantee my respect. Check that.
5) Yes, you’ve done nothing but whine since your arrival. Check that.
Hmm, “pedestrian”, “macroeconomics”, “epithet”. Partypup, allow me to become “ghetto” on you for a moment. You’ve used some very “grand” words, but you haven’t said sh!t!
Nothing my 15-year-old teenager wouldn’t know. I’m serious, Tom. Educate me. Didn’t you graduate from Harvard? Come on, you can do better than this.
P.S. I did miss Portluck’s allusion, so you do get points for that. By the way, those kind of comments fly by me often, it has to do with my background. However, it might be difficult for you to understand.
