City agrees to new library

I assume those dollar amounts are just for construction. What about ongoing costs? Probably ignoring those for now.

I guess the Padres and Chargers are donating enough to keep it operating for many years.

Who wants to go downtown to go to the library anyway? Go digitial, or build 30x $1M dollar libraries in the neighborhoods.

I hope it has granite counter tops.

The sad part is it probably would cost more to go back and redesign smaller public library. It sounds like this plan has been in the pipes for years. And it sounds like they are going to start building now…
