Why run physical locations when you can deliver the products for less over the mail? Municipalities would save money if they banded together to provide a free Netflix-like library.
You can buy many used books on Amazon now for less than the cost of gas to drive to the library.
If we are going to operate physical plants, we are better off operating public pool, basketball courts, soccer fields and other sports facilities for kids, especially south of the 8 freeway.
