    Rustico, thanks for your details on your gopher traps. Since I am “blessed” w/the title of homeowner, I will need to address the furry visitors in my yard once I’m done w/this remodel.

    Edit: And scaredy – I’m jealous that you have a pet owl!

    I’ve been meaning to put up some owl nest boxes. Maybe they can cluster here.

    That is so awesome. Maybe set up a cam like some of the other people who had pet owls that nested.

    I want to expand this conversation into feral cats.

    Anyone have suggestions on the best way to capture them? Normally I wouldn’t care but we have about 8 feral cats around the house and every planter at my mother’s place smells like a cat box.

    Of course I a talking about a humane capture but I have little faith that county won’t put them down. For one they’re feral… For two there are plenty of tamed ones to pick from.

    Anyone have suggestions on the best way to capture them? Normally I wouldn’t care but we have about 8 feral cats around the house and every planter at my mother’s place smells like a cat box.

    Of course I a talking about a humane capture but I have little faith that county won’t put them down. For one they’re feral… For two there are plenty of tamed ones to pick from.
