That was awesome, SD Transplant! Couldn’t agree more with him. The very same thing has been happening over here in the U.S. We are **all** owned by the bankers and corporate elite.

Tell me of a society that is not owned by some form of elite or another. It’s only a degree of how much proportional wealth is concentrated at the top.
The wealthier a society becomes, the more concentration of power there is, it seems.

True, but right now, things are at an extreme relative to the period since the Great Depression (the GD was also caused by extreme wealth disparity, IMHO).
I’ve never known of a successful society that had this sort of wealth disparity. It is usually the sign of social and economic decay…and imminent collapse.
