Hello Harry
Yes I know the area you are talking about. Are these homes worth the money you quoted? In my opinion no they are not. Are they getting sold right now? Yes they are. I know several people who live in the area and like it alot. The pricing now is lower then the peak but higher then it was a few months ago. I think that it is a great time to buy anything in PQ but I don’t believe it is going to get better anytime soon. I know that makes it a tough call, waiting another year or two, but I am just being honest with you.

Schools are good, sometimes driving is a hassle, there is no connection from the older PQ to the semi-newer PQ to the newer PQ…engineers never designed any streets to go through from east to west, and North to South from Park Village is only Black Mt. Road, which backs up considerably in the am and pm. Park Village is essentially the world’s longest cul-de-sac. In the event of a fire, I think we would be trapped…I live near the end of Park Village Rd. When we had a small fire a few years ago, the firefighters had to run a hose across the road near PQ creek park, we were trapped. My husband could not go to work that day. They wouldn’t let him drive over the hoses…great engineering!

September 14, 2009 at 1:14 PM #456463nin_sisParticipantJust wanted to chime in after not visiting this site for months. We recently bought in Park Village (hence not visiting the site so much) and love it. I’ve lived all over San Diego including Scripps Ranch and MM and consider PQ a step up. Of course I might be biased a bit after just settling here. Big plus is the Poway school district and the well established neighborhoods. Three of our neighbors have been here since the homes were first built in the mid-80’s which you don’t find too often. It’s safe, clean and very different from the other communities we’ve lived in.
Did you see the other listing on Amaranth recently? I think it listed for $399K, but imagine it might go for more.
Best of luck!
