Ya gotta wonder what kind of credibility hit the media will take when Obama’s four years are done. Seems like they have been giving him a free pass. But people can’t ignore the fact that they are unemployed. And the media still paints him in the rosiest colors.
Since when does the MSM have credibility? What the hell did they do during the last 8 years? Think anything changes with a new president? They only report what’s in their best interest and label legitimate investigative journalism as someone with a grudge or “gotcha” journalism.Consolidation of media is not happening, it already happened. It’s one voice speaking for someone, but it sure ain’t you and me.

Well, to GM’s credit, the 2010 Buick Lacrosse that had a good portion designed in Shanghai does look pretty nice. The interior doesn’t look like any other Buick in the past.
I just found this incredibly distasteful that GM would be using taxpayers money to “save american jobs” and then submit it plan to import at the same time. What were they thinking?????
Seems like autoblog is reporting the same thing…Actually autoblog also indicates it’s not just importing from China, production ramp-up is expected to happen in South Korea and Mexico as well….
http://www.autoblog.com/2009/05/12/report-gm-plans-to-sell-china-built-cars-to-u-s-consumers/Regardless of the quantity of vehicles coming in from China, union leaders are none too pleased with the development, says Automotive News. The 12-page document also showed increased production in Mexico, with annual units rising from 317,763 in 2010 to 501,316 in 2014. South Korea, which will likely make new vehicles like the Chevrolet Spark, will increase production from 36,967 in 2010 to 157,126 in 2014. In an open letter, UAW legislative director Alan Reuther has gone on record saying that GM “should not be taking taxpayers’ money simply to finance the outsourcing of jobs to other countries.”
Oh, the irony….I guess some of us will be removing Chrysler and GM from the short list and buy Ford instead. All this taxpayer’s bailout money…In a couple of years, we’ll wonder we did it all go?…Just like your so many americans that buy now and pay later….
I wish the WSJ and CNN would run this story…..

May 13, 2009 at 1:56 AM #397780CA renterParticipant
Americans do not support other Americans. Americans do not support the other guy’s job. In fact in America it seems more popular to be jealous of the other guys job and hope it goes to Japan or China.
If WE do not fight for our good jobs why would the Gov. or Corporations care? They could really give a rats as about us workers.
The unbeliavable screwing will continue until we do something about it. To me, that seems a long way off as even in this climate of depression and job losses its rare to hear someone supportive of GM, Ford or Chrysler.
So for now TPTB will use our tax dollars to faciitate even more jobs going to countries who appreciate good jobs.
Celebrate the death of GM while you can. Who nows how long it will be before its your job on the chopping block and suddenly you’ll be singing a different tune about US jobs.
