LOL. His team of 15 people including 7 agents has closed only twice as many short sale listings as I have this year by myself. Oh yeah, he’s had 10 times as many listings as me. Good luck….

October 28, 2009 at 11:07 PM #474979SD RealtorParticipantI don’t see anything that suggests a plant. Battiata himself posted here before. He is a big boy and can defend himself.
SMH it is very simple. Look at what is not pending, contingent and withdrawn. So Battiata has 132 sales and then 37 + 26 + 134 listings that did not sell or a total of 197. So out of 331 listings, 197 did not sell. So the numbers show about 40% success rate?
A few weeks ago we were bidding on a Battiata home at auction. It was another short sale his office failed to complete. They had plenty of offers, they just didn’t get it done at the lender. There are plenty like that. Now I cannot say why they didnt get done, they just didnt. I have submitted several offers representing a buyer to Battiatas short sale listing. Lets just say we were not impressed with the level of service.
SMH if you are listed with him, call his office posing as a buyers agent and see how helpful his office is in finding out information on your home. Tell them you want to send in an offer and see how it goes. If it goes good then all is well.

November 3, 2009 at 11:14 AM #476834UCGalParticipant
Not a plant at all. I was about to list with Battiata and was doing my due diligence researching his company. I did a search of Battitata Real Estate Complaints, and ended up here (found the BBB listing with no complaints by the way). I’ve been here before researching other things, so found this thread interesting.
I don’t trust the BBB. I’ve personally made a legitimate complaint to the BBB about a contractor – only to have the contractor rebutt it (with lies) and BBB took the complaint down.
BBB’s business model is that the businesses PAY them. So that gives them a bias to keep their paying customer happy.
If you really did your due dilligence about Battiata you’d have found the following:

There are complaints out there… Not scrubbed away by the BBB.
