How are realtors to make a living if they don’t have their 6% to split?
Its hard times for some of them and they need every penny they can get.

January 30, 2009 at 3:31 PM #338939SD RealtorParticipantI have to add something here as well. I had one good experience with Battiata. It had to do with a listing I had and Battiata was very gracious with regard to reuse of his previous photos.
In a posting way back when I posted about how I had a good experience with them. Since then however I have had another with them from a buyers side. I found his staff and office to be unresponsive with questions I submitted on behalf of listings for each client of mine. Phone calls were not returned at all and getting quality responses back was very challenging…My client eventually threw in the towel and gave up.

February 5, 2009 at 3:22 PM #341440AnonymousGuestI was interested in a property listed by this guy.
For several months, he never once responded to a call or email from our realtor, and to date, they have still never actually spoken to the man, or an actual agent and have had to deal strictly with his assistant.
I love his expression of how much he loves the real estate business and the good relationships he has with buyers/sellers, and that he wishes the posts were “elevated” to be more constructive. Simply smoke to obscure the view. Hilarious. Perhaps if he ran his business differently, these types of posts would not exist?
We don’t care how much we like a house, if Battiata’s the listing agent, we’ll move along….nor would we ever consider using him as our agent.
We’ve since made contact about a few other properties and ALL of the listing agents have either taken calls, or called back within a reasonable response time.
I can’t imagine myself operating our business that way, especially in down times.
