I think the whole Treasuries for Trash swap has had at least as big an effect as the FFR cuts.
If anyone wants to understand the effect of the Fed on the price of a barrel of oil, just pull up the chart for USO and set the start date as 1/1/07. If you overlay the Fed’s actions since that date, the causality becomes quite clear.
