Bumping this bc I just got my first tax bill (Due 2-2-10 for the 2nd installment of fiscal year july 1 2009 -june 30-2010).
I purchased in December, paid a minimal amount for december (prorated) so I owe or Jan – june I assume.
Can I appeal the assessment, as it states 1% of net value and 1% of my purchase price is less than whats quoted on the bill? Next question, if I appeal it, will it process before my payment is due or does it get applied to the 1st installment for 2010-2011?
Thanks for the info and sorry if already answered/
**** Nevermind – called the tax collector and it seems that they will reassess and apply a refund or credit by July***
