I can’t understand why a plea bargain was accepted by the judge. Does this mean that the case is closed now and the investors are out of luck?

What plea bargain? There is no plea bargain…
Madoff pleaded guilty. He did not get any deal from prosecutors. And he’s doing this probably so that he can protect the other folks involved in this scandal.

What plea bargain? There is no plea bargain…
Madoff pleaded guilty. He did not get any deal from prosecutors. And he’s doing this probably so that he can protect the other folks involved in this scandal.
