4plexowner, so you think that piggington is not the gathering place for the smart people? Why did we spot the housing bubble few years ago while most people are busy buying properties?

Good luck finding that SFH $165k place in a area along the coast or areas llike MM,RP,Scripps,4s,etc. If that’s your parameters (expecting 92154 pricing in these areas) good luck finding an Real Estate agent who would give you the time and day.
Folks looking for those $150k homes 92154 probably aren’t in the same economic demographics as those folks looking in the aforementioned places listed above. But if 92154 is your cup of tea, go for it. I won’t be competing with you, nor would I think some of those folks looking to buy in the aforementioned places.
Again, SD isn’t exactly like Detroit. Industries here aren’t quite in the bind like GM is. In fact, fortunately, there is more of a diversified employment basis here in SD than Detroit.

April 19, 2009 at 11:25 AM #3840214plexownerParticipantIMO smart people aren’t even considering real estate purchases right now so, from my perspective, anyone considering a real estate purchase is less-than-smart whether they happen to blog in Pigg-land or not
as always, there are caveats – if you are buying your dream property at a price that is affordable to you, more power to you and God Bless – in the four years I have been blogging here Chris (Johnson or ScoreBoar, I’m not sure which) is the only person I am aware of who has purchased their DREAM home (as opposed to just a house that makes sense for the current time and circumstances) – that’s one justifiable purchase in 4 years
and, I admit that I am very opinionated on this subject matter and could well be wrong
