Thank you for all the information and for sharing your experience with the school district. One question – So the webpage http://locator.decisioninsite.com/Default.aspx?StudyID=45346 isnt really accurate and anyone can be placed in any school in the district?. I also noticed that depending on the location, there is a possibility that my child could attend solana beach school district. Do you have insights on that?
Thank you again.

Here’s the schedule:
http://www.dmusd.org/district/files/openFile.aspx?fileID=10551
Registration Information:
http://www.dmusd.org/district/webpages/openwebpage.aspx?webpageID=1937
Procedure for address verification/proof of age/health records/etc
http://www.dmusd.org/district/files/openFile.aspx?fileID=6678
In short:
Two proofs of residency (lease signed by both tenant and landlord, utility bills with both name and service address, i.e. gas, electric, water, cable, land line telephone and/or property tax statement). For bills paid on line, please provide printout of your recent statement with name and service address. Not acceptable proof of residency: driver’s license, cell phone bill, credit card statement, bank statement, mortgage statement, insurance statement, magazine subscriptions, etc.
Regarding the gift/afterschool programs….Personally, I don’t see this as a big deal.. If you want your kid to go to an enrichment program, there are plenty of them offered privately near the area. You just have to deal with transporting the kiddie(s) around.

We have been told by the district that even though we are just two blocks from one of the schools there is no guarantee that she will that one. In fact, we were told that it is more likely that she will not be able to attend that school due to the impacted nature of the entire district.
