ParticipantLuckily, I don’t just rely on graphs. That is why I monitor the ZIP codes of interest to me and watch the prices during the cycle. I can agree that it varies per area. That is why I qualified my initial comment “Generally speaking.”

ParticipantIt seems impossible to time the real estate market; bottom or top. I’d rather bottom fish stocks than real estate. At least with most stocks I can get out of my position instantly.

ParticipantThat is one great thing about stocks. You can unload them immediately. Takes much longer to sell a house in a down cycle, unless you’re prepared to reduce below market.
