Yes, I used Anna. You have a choice which lead agent to use, but the options are limited (2-3 I think).
She provided us with more then just the normal paperwork. She provided suggestions on the offer price, home inspection items, etc…
You’re correct about the field agents (the ones showing the homes) being different then your lead agent (transaction coordinator). The offer price is completely up to you. Anna never saw the house in person, so the only pricing advice she gave was relative to the comps.
To some, this might not seem like a good thing. However, we’re educated buyers and have been watching the market for the last year. We offered 5% below asking price and went to contract with 4% below asking price. To be honest, it’s kind of refreshing to not have a realtor pushing you to offer more. It’s completely up to you..and we were able to do it…and it worked for us.
We made one offer – this one. However, we probably looked at 15-20 houses in the last 6 months.
All in all, it was a good experience. I’ve heard people say that models like redfin are dangerous if you’re an uneducated buyer – however if you’re an uneducated buyer or have no common sense, I think buying real estate through anyone would be dangerous (realtor or redfin).
