Ya I don’t know about other cards because I too only use the Amex. It’s great if you’re in business and need to have records of all your purchases. This can be useful in case of an audit. Of course I also get the cash-back deal.
I get the “Capitol 1” offer in the mail about once a week. It goes right in the rubbish.
