With a little kid, I would suggest that you do find a place with loud music and a band. When my kids were little that was the only way we could take them out. The noise masks their noise and if there is dancing (i.e a Greek restaurant that is family oriented) you can seat yourself next to the band and let your kid dance. Without something to entertain your child, your “quiet” dinner will be a disaster.
