When I was growing up, we used the dishwasher to store our extra cups. When my parents redid the kitchen they took out the trash compactor and dishwasher. Of course, they bought the house to retire in and have no thoughts of moving anywhere for the rest of their lives.
I got so used to the art of handwashing that I never really considered what mainstream wants. In fact, I don’t know if I even know how to operate one.. or even what fancy detergents,etc I will need to get to supplement it. Time to google.
