Well, really if you’re in tech, the time to go back to the bay area is now…..
The socal economy is trailing the norcal economy pretty bad…And employment is looking reallly good up there….I’ve been really tempted to move back…Reaaaaaally tempted….
When I was at google io in May, it’s it’s just different…Bunch of startups, bunch of energy and excitement….
San Diego….Dead…Just dead……Well, we got the nice weather i guess. I mean it’s not *bad* like in L.A. but not exactly incubator heaven here either….
Bay area housing in the valley (on the west side) will always be in demand…Because really in Bay Area, there really is a housing shortage….
I predict NorCal economy will be leading SoCal for the next 10 years….SoCal is going to be going nowhere for the next decade…

According to my parents…A house in FosterCity was like a joke back in 1908 …Who wants to live on a marshland that is manfilled and a fake a lagoon….In 1998 when I looked, “waterfront” property there when I looked in 98 was $800k… I can’t imagine how much it is now…..
