We use Vonage for telephone, it has been great. $30/month (including taxes) for unlimited calling everywhere, including international.
Also we stream internet content (Hulu, ESPN3, etc.) to our TV via our Wii. We use a program called Playon

It cost maybe $40/year and works fine for us. No need for cable, as many others have said. But I do still have to pay ATT for internet service, haven’t figured out a way around that one yet.
