We just bought personal solar (roof system). It should save a minimum of 300. per month from the electric bill and if it produces more than we use, then SDG&E will have to pay us (deduction from bill). Also, the components did not come from China. Some of the issues that held us back in the past were the cost, ugly looking, and that the excess electric went to the company. Now that most of that has changed we went for it. Still a lot of money, but I think our bill started going up about 6% a year even with a lot of conservation. Once you bump up into a higher tier, it never gets better. When I see the dials spinning backwards I am going to yell FREEDOM (just like Braveheart)!
