[quote=walterwhite]i believe in my heart that the healthiest thing is lots of interbreeding, going far afield to mix your dna. i know this sounds kind of cold, but it seems better for producing dogs, so why not people?

interbreeding will certainly produce stronger and healthier population. we can see in dogs that a lot of “pure bred” breeds have intrinsic issues with health. for example, a lot of dalmatians are deaf and skin issues very prevalent. bull dogs suffer from respiratory problems. these are all human created problems by selectively inbreeding within a small population to get a breed, which lead to high prevalence of these conditions.
we can see the same for humans as well. the royals of Europe really messed themselves up by inbreeding with each other, resulting in high degree of hemophilia. the ashkenazi jews have the same problem with a whole host of genetic problems like tay sach and cystic fibrosis. one can say the same about blacks. by breeding with another african american, the risk of sickle cell is that much higher.
we definitely see physical advantages with interbreeding. now IQ? we can probably infer that as well, although that topic is filled with landmines…
