US is much different now from WW II days. During WW II days, racial segregation was completely legal, even in military. Today, US is extremely diverse, highly tolerant with more than even protection extended to “minorities” { Affirmative action, Voting rights etc., }. So, I think the fear of ABC/Chinese bashing is not very rational. Now, if you are in Mississippi, Alabama… etc., well, you would be already aware of how they look upon “outsiders”.
