This is NOT off topic at all! These job cuts are a tip of the iceberg of the economic instability and pain CA will suffer due to housing bust. Unfortunately, it makes more productive and better off Californians vote with their feet (or U-Hauls) compounding the crisis. Think of what signal it sends to an investor or skilled person thinking of moving to CA.
