They are hurting, they are not profitable – But they are long way from fear of bankruptcy. They are sitting on $269M cash.
I think they will muddle through with a fluctuating small profit/loss pattern till the end of recession. They will cut costs by downsizing, layoffs, store closing etc.,
If you are talking of bankruptcy, a lot of middle and upscale eateries will go first. Applebee’s, IHOPs & Chili’s have more to worry.
McDonald’s is of course, the winner. Anything that bills double digits is an endangered species.
