The guess I made myself before opening and reading the initial post was $105k. I’m in the San Diego area.
So no, it doesn’t sound too outrageous to me, although you might use the term “overall compensation package” as opposed to pure salary.
Who knows though, it seems like there’s a “perceived value” phenomenon – the more you have the gall to ask for, the more qualified folks assume you to be. Weird.
