Yup, we were just plain lucky to sell when we did. It was this site that prompted us to take the low ball offer and move on with our lives.
I use Zillow primarily to see what homes have sold for as they are the only site I know that posts what the final sale prices of the homes were.
I can’t remember who built the places we lived in…but whomever it was, we had the usual shoddy workmanship. Toilet seal that leaked on the second floor so had to take out some ceiling and replace, not a right angle corner in the place, anytime someone walked upstairs it sounded like a herd of elephants downstairs and don’t get me started on the base model oven in that place. All of which is livable if you’re paying $100.00 or less a sq. ft. but more than that, I really don’t know what the heck we were thinking when we paid 2004 prices for that place ($176.00/sq. ft.) plus the mellow roos of 1300/yr. Oh well, live and learn.
