The Republican powers-that-be still think they should overrule the vote of the people! They think pulling the carpet out from under Trump at the convention is a perfectly valid thing to do!
There has never been clearer evidence that the Republican party thinks their members are just puppets that they can control and overrule on a whim.

The irony here is that Hugh Hewitt got exactly what he wanted. He played an integral part in creating the nominee he now has. Hewitt is not an insider. He was. He left, and was out of the loop for 2 decades. He returned as an outsider who pushed the party, from the outside, towards Sarah Palin. He now can’t live with what he built.
