Top-heavy? The Windows 8 Pro Surface is the same weight as the original iPad. That seems to work just fine for the iPad.

So, in essence, you don’t want a tablet, you just want a touch screen Macbook Air or the slew of ultrabooks with touch screen. Why not just get one of those ultrabooks that are coming out later this year and install Ubuntu on it?
