Outside of a large meteorite or Yellowstone going off (or nuclear war).

I think that is extremely unlikely in the next few generations (for the USA).

in fact in the near term (say the next 50 years) I think that for the U.S.A. things look really really good even compared to Europe or china etc..

Anyway IMO.
