Some of Ayn Rand’s observations are pure genius, in my view. Others are suspect, to be polite. On the whole, her “philosophy,” taken to its logical conclusion, is unworkable in the real world. But that doesn’t mean she didn’t have some brilliant insights. Lord Keynes also had some brilliant insights… but his philosophy has a few holes as well. Personally, I don’t vilify someone’s entire body of work merely because parts of it are a little loony.
