So he believes in personal freedoms at the federal level but not at the state level? That’s a cop out. He doesn’t believe in personal freedom at all, unless it’s his kind of freedom. He IS anti-gay. He IS opposed to a woman’s right to privacy. He’s just another hypocrite.
He is anti-gay and anti abortion, I don’t deny that, and I don’t agree with those views. But he believe it’s not the federal government’s role to promote/ban gay marriage or abortion. How is that a hypocrite? He have been saying that forever now and AFAIK he hasn’t DONE anything that would make him a hypocrite.
Hypocrisy:
noun, plural -sies.
1.
a pretense of having a virtuous character, moral or religious beliefs or principles, etc., that one does not really possess.
2.
a pretense of having some desirable or publicly approved attitude.
I don’t get how you can call his stance hypocrisy? You can say you don’t agree with his stance of small and less intrusive government, but please explain how it’s hypocrisy? If you say he’s gay or pass a low supporting gay marriage or had an abortion, then yes, I would say he’s a hypocrite.
Here’s his view on abortion: http://www.ronpaul.com/on-the-issues/abortion/
“Ron Paul believes that the ninth and tenth amendments to the U.S. Constitution do not grant the federal government any authority to legalize or ban abortion. Instead, it is up to the individual states to prohibit abortion.”
You know what’s hypocrisy? Saying you’re anti-war and then go start a war. Saying you’re for the little guys, then go bail out the big banks.I can go on, but you get the point.
Here are some more hypocrisies. Saying you’re pro-life, then go support the death penalty. Saying you’re against Obamacare, then go and create your own in your state. I can go on here as well, but you get the point.
