SDR: Watched the Chargers – Nevermores game with my 11yo son, who plays DT and OT on a Jr Midget Pop Warner team. He’s also a huge Chargers fan (which made last Monday in our house REAL interesting).
Anyhoo. His comments throughout the game had to do with two things: The unbelievably crappy tackling by the Chargers D and the unbelievably crappy play calling for the Chargers O.
I’ve never been a huge Rivers fan, but he essentially carried this team on his back yesterday and his Fouts-like numbers prove it.
Baltimore’s D is starting to show its age and that secondary was extremely suspect and this was a game that the Chargers could have won. Not easily, mind you, but they could have won.
After Houston’s win over Tennessee and the Jets throttling NE, the AFC is opening up again. The problem is the Chargers don’t look like a playoff caliber team right now, especially on the defensive side of the ball.
Where the hell is Merriman? I would think after his choking incident with the delightful Miz Tequila, he’d be loaded for bear.
Hey, the Chargers and Raiders are both 1 – 1. Gotta enjoy it while I can.
