SDR and others, perhaps you are very young, but I and many others have lived through much more difficult economic times than the mini-recessions of 2001 or the early 1990’s. The world did not come to an end, despite asset prices being only a small % of what they are today, even after adjusting for income growth since then.
Yes, if we have a severe recession, some hoped-for outcomes will not come true, but many good things will happen too, and those who act opportunistically will do well in 10 or 20 years time, maybe sooner if they are lucky.
