SD R, I agree with all your assessment about MM, except maybe about the schools. Unless it has changed since I went, back then, we tend to one of the top school in SD Unified. We always have problem getting $ because our test scores were high. It really depend on who you hang around with, but all of my friends went to a 4 year university, ranging from SDSU to Cornell & Harvard.
Personally, I think there’s a big differences between west & east of Camino Ruiz. I think it goes something like NW > SW > NE > SE. The kind of crime we usually see is auto theft. I don’t remember ever hearing about shooting or anything like that.
It’s definitely a big plus to live near work. Nothing is better than being able to go home for lunch.
