@Scarlett: The place I am referring to was in Morada right up against the 15 freeway. When I approached the front door, and turned 180°F around, I could see the wall which was preventing me from running into the freeway. Way too close!
I agree with you that the exact location matters. Hard for anyone here to really judge noise based on a few facts.
I would be fine with a little light white noise. What I experienced looking into places that backed into Poway/Pomerado were potentially tolerable. What I saw backing into the 15 was intolerable.
