[quote=Rt.66]Just a little tongue-in-cheek humor. Jeez, chill people.
I think you TVMOD folks are getting testy because ALL the data agrees with me.
TG I like the charismatic way you write as much as anyone else.
Still, how can you stare into the face of Great Depression foreclosure numbers, unemployment and business closures and call a bottom and not expect someone to bring the data? I mean really folks…. really???
The numbers are so bad that if you cut them in HALF they would only be lowered to disastrous, completely abysmal. That’s not opinion or even “my” data, its’s happening right now(unfortunately).
You should be thanking me, not showing me the door.

Scarlet: I don’t think anyone is showing you the door. Rather, I think the point being made is one of style and approach.
I draw a lot of fire from certain posters on this board and rightfully so. I’m an asshole when I get my Irish up and my posting style can be combative and adversarial. I accept that as part of the “cost of doing business”. In other words, I fully accept and expect return fire for some of what I write and I should. I don’t cry foul, I generally just keep shooting.
I also know that there are certain posters on this board that have, over a long period of time, earned a deserved respect for their writings. TG is one of them, as are sdr and SDR, in my opinion. These are guys that don’t write with an agenda, but generally are spot on in terms of what they know. TG also writes with great “local intel” as we used to say in the Army. He isn’t culling his info from anonymous sources or the NYTimes, but, rather, he’s writing about his own neighborhood and the environs immediately surrounding. Much of it might be anecdotal, to be sure, but it’s all valuable in assembling the bigger picture.
I don’t think you should go, and I enjoy anyone with an adversarial style. You do have to make sure that you don’t stray into that area where it becomes personal. In the heat of the moment, I’ve done it myself and I’ve always regretted it after.
Be cool, keep your eyes on the bigger picture and remember that, for the most part, we’re all just guessing anyway. Well, except for urbanrealtor. He knows things. And they’re not good.
