Of course it wouldn’t stop the decline. However, if they slowly release the inventory, the price would slowly decline. Can you imagine what the price would be if they let ALL of the shadow inventory on the market. I would say the price would have gotten much lower from now to bottom (whenever that is) if they let it all go at once vs letting it go out slowly.
