pri_dk, not sure you caught it, but I stated that I do not appear “Hispanic” and at all times I have been asked for ID. The treatment at these checkpoints starts off the same, and veers off differently from there (dep on lic plate, appearance of driver/passengers, their spoken English. or lack thereof and responses to questions). I believe they are looking for congruency in all of those things but yes, the direction they take after that is attributable to “profiling.” Not always “racial” but mostly so.
