Our county used to have union bus drivers.
A little surly, been there, done that mindset,
but they knew the job and it was a union gig so
they wanted to ride it out for 40 years.
They went to an outsourcing company, brought in
all non union drivers. So almost every one of the drivers is some african or south american.
Nice guys, but, they last about 6 weeks, and then a new one is there.
So, it seems about once a quarter, I have to guide the driver through the route.
and every now and then the drivers never come to where i’m sitting, and i suspect they had just
missed a stop and took a wrong turn and were just gone.
