That cost is really chump change for houses at this price. Cost of demo wood floor is ~$1-$1.5/sq-ft and cost of installing new wood floor is ~$1.5-$2/sq-ft. Cost of top of the line Teragren Bamboo is ~$6.5/sq-ft. That’s a total of ~$9-$10/sq-ft. That house is probably has ~2000 sq-ft of that wood at most, but more realistically, probably ~1000 sq-ft. That’s $10-20k on top of a $900k+ price tag is ~1-2%.
