Nostradamus – we went to that “fastest Chihuahua in America” race last year at the PetCo near Sports Arena. It was hilarious! We have a 1-eyed Chi. we adopted and entered him…he never left the starting gate…but it was great fun. The owners of the Chihuahuas are as amusing as the dogs themselves!
To the OP – Any thoughts on grey hounds? Supposedly they are very minimal shedders and giant couch potatos. My aunt had one she adopted from a local rescue and she was a real sweety. And I totally agree with the poster who said “get two”. We adopted our Chihuahua Terrier in 2002 and in 2004 adopted our one-eyed Chihuahua – we’ve really noticed a change in our Chi. Terrier now that she has a buddy to hang with while we’re gone or to walk with at the park. She seems much happier and we don’t find things “moved” around the house (shoes, couch pillows, etc.) anymore.
