That is something I have been thinking about as well, 15-20 years ago most first time buyers were looking at 1200 sqf 3 bedroom 1 ½ bath homes with swamp coolers on the roof and no upgrades and in need of some TLC and thinking (Wow what a neat place to live),
Now they want at least a 2500 sqf place with nice upgrades or (well I will leave it there).
Don’t really know about Oceanside but in Temecula you can get that first home above for less than I paid for a similar one in 1994 (go figure).

I don’t know about that, my friends want maybe 1500sq. ft 3bed 2 bath, which I don’t think is too much to ask
