Guess what… They already do. Everyday people are chosen to recieve new drugs based on certian metrics. Death panels (or life panels depending on your point of view) make decisions on who gets the new heart transplant, liver, etc. etc.
Simple fact. Someone has to make a informed decision as to what to do. That is not always a family member.
