[quote=NewtoSanDiego]Any advice on how to fight my HOA? I get this notice yesterday that my dog is in violation of HOA rules on dog weight.
Not sure how they determined his weight.
Well, my dog Max is gonna have to go on a diet and training regimine. I’m thinking a combination of more exercise, and portion controlled pure adkins meat diet. I figure it is gonna make him testier.
Any advice on how I can fight back on these regulatinos, typical. Reminds me of all the nanny state regulations that are choking off our country’s small businesses. Where does this end?

I normally would offer to help people fight HOA within reason…But sorry, from your previous post demonstrating your selfish/self-entitled personality, I’d say let the HOA and the neighbors totally screw you over.
This is gonna be a first step in a long battle for you…You wonder how the HOA got wind of your dog???You don’t think perhaps maybe some of your neighbors are trying to kick you out? And if you’re a renter, guess what? You’re landlord is going to be getting some warnings from the HOA and then start getting fined…I hope you disclosed to him that you at a pitbull or any pet….If you didn’t and if he specifically said no pets, you are screwed in more than one ways… It’s not just going to be about the dog, because frankly for someone to file a complaint about your dog, they *really* have it in for you… If you don’t take care of your dog issue, they’re going to just about find every thing you’re in violation with HOA and constantly report you, until you get fed up and move out…..For instance, better make sure you put the trash cans out at the proper time and put them away…HOA fines for that. Better make sure you don’t use your garage as storage and park your cars outside (some HOA’s convenants fine folks for that too)… Ever leave your garage door open for longer than you need to take stuff out? Some HOA’s have rules against that…Better make sure your front yard is kept clean and weeds are picked, HOA might fine you for that. Someone(s) really really decided to escalate this thing…Yeah, some of these rules no one enforces…..Until you piss off the community, and then they’ll start looking at every single one of these infractions….lol..
Your problem is you feel you’re entitled to live however you want. HOA’s exist for a reason. People who live under those rules don’t mind…If you don’t like that “nanny’ community, you move out and find a place which isnt under HOA…Obviously, other people don’t like you there either, and rules are rules.
I’d brush with the HOA’s CCR’s and get very familiar with them, because you’re going to be having fun dealing with every single issue. Your neighbors have obviously decided to escalate things.
