My wife was in an accident, both her car and the one she ran into were totaled. Wawanesa paid rather generously for the car and for the rental. They gave us median asking price for a similar car from Autotrader. It was a 5 year old Toyota RAV4 with 80k miles and, IIRC, we got around 11k.
