My Wife and I looked extensively at Eureka Springs and at the Shea development a half mile away (Chaparral Ridge). We were enamored with both developments. That is, until we drove through north-central Esco on El Norte Parkway. YIKES!
There is a very good reason the directions on the Lennar website have you come up Bear Valley Pkwy. Also, drive up at night so you can see all the fresh paint covering the graffiti just about everywhere.
The nail in the coffin was the long-term resale values. We think appreciation will be weak when the market returns to equilibrium.
