My kids are doing American Top Team, specializing in the Muay Thai track, and I wish I’d have gotten them started sooner. Older son, just turning 17 has size and body to play at next level in baseball, but doesn’t have swagger. ATT or Gracie started at an earlier age would have really helped (he’s only been in 4 months).
By the way the kids love MMA and really wanted to do this. At first I was looking at Karate and regular old Martial Arts places, but they wanted to learn the stuff the best fighters in the world use, so at ATT they’ll get to go through Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and grappling as well. There are girls there by the way, though not quite as many as at the Karate studio next door.
